The United States Canoe Association (USCA), encourages the growth of paddling as a recognized competitive sport, and beneficial recreational activity. Through educational programs, canoe cruises, safety workshops, and paddling clinics, the goal is to enable people to enjoy paddlesports in natural settings that promote conservation, safety, fitness, good mental health and participation in family and community life to the fullest extent possible.
The USCA sanctions programs and events to promote paddlesport competition, including its two marquee annual events: USCA Marathon National Championships and the USCA Stock Aluminum Championship
Benefits of Joining
The United States Canoe Association offers its members a broad schedule of regional and national canoe cruises, canoe safety and paddling clinics, and local and national level marathon canoe competitions. Canoe races are usually sanctioned in more than 200 cities in the United States each year. The Association also provides the medium for involvement in an active river conservation program, and members may take advantage of a wide range of publications available for the Association’s library. In addition, a triathlon program has been implemented that offers canoeing, biking, and running national championships.
The United States Canoe Association is a nonprofit, tax-exempt educational organization, as listed under the IRS 501 ( c ) 3 ruling.
